Starting with the advanced CRF450R, which is all new for the 2027 model year, the CRF450 HRC Works Edition adds numerous factory-level upgrades straight from HRC factory teams designed to give you an edge from gate drop to podium. Under the hood, these enhancements include a hand-ported cylinder head with a signature red cam cover, specialized ECU settings, a Twin Air filter, and a premium Yoshimura exhaust system tuned for maximum output. To ensure superior handling and durability, the machine is equipped with Kashima-coated fork legs, revalved suspension, black triple clamps, an RK gold chain, and DID DirtStar LT-X rims. Finished with a gripper seat cover and exclusive HRC Throttle Jockey graphics that command attention, the "Works Edition" is built to completely dominate the track.

Engine & Drivetrain

• 450 cc Unicam® Engine

A new engine this year features a new Unicam valve layout that aligns intake and exhaust rockers on a common axis to increase valvetrain rigidity while also resulting in a more compact package.

• Broader, More Usable Power

New cam profiles and a new bore and stroke help give the engine increased midrange and high-rpm power.

• Hydraulic Clutch

Inspired by our Grand Prix MX machines, the hydraulically actuated clutch offers a 10% lighter clutch lever pull compared to a cable equivalent. It also eliminates the need for adjustments, delivering optimal performance for even the longest motos.

Chassis & Suspension

• New Frame

The 2027 frame may look the same, but it’s really all new, with slightly more steering rake and a longer wheelbase. The major frame components have been fine-tuned for rigidity and weight loss. Meanwhile, the footpegs moved 5mm to the back, making it easier to shift your weight over the rear wheel to help it hook up.

• Showa® Spring Fork

A 49 mm Showa® fork features Kashima coating to the internal sliding components, enhancing stroke feel and improving smoothness. A DBS (Dynamic Blow System) main-piston valve increases compression damping in the extremely low-to-low speed range, improving stroke consistency.

• Rear Suspension

A lighter shock body is surrounded by a new red spring. The shock itself is more responsive, enhancing damping feel in the low-speed compression range and providing a more consistent feel throughout the suspension stroke.

The DID DirtStar LT-X rims are lightweight and strong, while the black color looks good and is easy to clean.

• Smoother Bodywork

Smoothing out the bodywork transition between the front of the seat and the radiator shrouds makes it easier to move effortlessly on the bike. The seat itself features larger radius corners up front and smaller radius corners on the rear to improve comfort, hold, and handling.
